A. One-Hour Consultation Options
StudyHorizons is available for one-hour consultation services providing information and advice relating to college/university search and application processes worldwide, as well as vacation, summer, and gap year opportunities. (This is not to include the development of the college/university recommendation list.)
B. Customized Service Blocks
A pre-paid four-hour package of time may be purchased to be used for any educational consulting service required (with the exception of college/university recommendation list development). The four hours may be delivered at one time or broken up into a series of one- or two-hour sessions. The choice is yours! Possibilities include, but are not limited to:

C. University Planning Package I - 9th and/or 10th Grade
- Review of academic record
- Advice on high school course selection
- Recommendations on extracurricular involvement and summer activities
- Testing recommendations
- Discussion of strategies for successful high school achievement
- Administration of career assessment and learning style inventories - Step One
- Advice on Grade 11/12 course selections, as needed
D. University Planning Package II - 11th and 12th Grade
- Review of prior academic achievements
- Advice on Grade 11/12 course selections, as needed
- Discussion of strategies for successful high school achievement
- Recommendations on extracurricular involvement and summer programs
- Testing recommendations (SAT I, SAT II, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS) - When to schedule, what type of test preparation is recommended, etc.
- In-depth interview regarding college preferences of both student and parent(s)
- Career planning through administration of Step One career assessment and learning style inventories
- Refinement of choices of college type and major using interest survey(s)
- Preparation and delivery of a selected list of 18-20 colleges/universities uniquely suited to the student's needs based upon interviews with student and parent(s), which the student will then research in greater depth.
- Tips for student's research of recommended colleges/universities
- Advice on planning successful college visits
E. University Comprehensive Package - 11th and 12th Grade
Includes all services in Package II above, PLUS:
- Action Plan with organizational timeline
- Editing of the activities résumé/CV
- Assistance with the logistics of preparing applications
- Completion of School Report portions of applications, if required
- Guidance Counselor recommendation letters to universities, if required
- Essay brainstorming session
- Editing of up to six application essays or the Personal Statement
- Completion of Application requirements, as necessary:
Mid-Year and Final follow-up reports - Assistance with financial aid applications
- Recommendations and practice for college interviews
- Advice on making final decision when acceptance letters are received
- Visa assistance, as needed
- Session focusing on transition to college
- E-Mail follow-up with student during first semester of college - 2 contacts
F. Emergency Package - 12th Grade
Need help at the last minute?
This intensive, highly focused package provides the following services in ten one-hour sessions during the fall of the student's last year of high school/Gymnasium or after graduation:
- Review of prior academic achievements
- Testing recommendations, as required (SAT I, SAT II, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS) -
When to schedule, what kind of test preparation is recommended, etc. - In-depth interview regarding college preferences of both student and parent(s)
- Streamlined Action Plan with organizational timeline
- Preparation and delivery of a selected list of 18-20 colleges/universities uniquely suited to the student's needs based upon interview with student and parent(s), which the student will then research in greater depth.
- Tips for student's follow up research of recommended colleges/universities
- Assistance with the logistics of application preparation

H. SAT Preparation - Critical Reading and Writing
6 two-hour sessions focusing on the Reading and Writing portions of the SAT - 10-student maximum, with rates adjusted based upon number of participants. Additional Math sessions can be arranged, as desired. Course syllabus and rates available upon request.
I. TOEFL Preparation - Focus on individual needs
Private or small group instruction. Course delivery based upon specific student requirements.
